Charles D. Adams, IV is the great grandson of a Texas Ranger, Charles D. Adams, Sr. He is the great grandson and grandson of teachers, Evelyn Maples and Patricia Adams. He is a former police officer who has witnessed firsthand the concern and care given by firefighters when responding to an “injured officer” dispatch. Mr. Adams strongly believes attorneys should serve their community to as an obligation arising from the wonderful lifestyle afforded successful lawyers. Mr. Adams also carries the weight of service imposed by his Faith (although he openly despises counsel that attempt to use their Faith as a vehicle to gain market share or capture more business). As such, Mr. Adams has been a member of the State Bar’s Pro Bono College.
Today, Mr. Adams continues to evidence his sense of obligation by offering significantly discounted rates on services to Peace Officers, Firefighters, and School Teachers accused of crimes in Texas. He also offers pro bono simple estate planning and also provides pro bono advice on family law matters and probate matters (including the review of documents and an explanation of the process to unrepresented parties). While he cannot devote all of his time to this endeavor, he does as much as he can and strives to contribute a tenth of his bountiful harvest to this effort.
